GMU Careers Fair Held for 3rd Time

On 17 April, the 3rd edition of the GMU Careers Fair, organised by the GMU Careers Office in cooperation with the e-Biznes Student Scientific Circle, was held on the University’s main campus. The event was opened by the Deputy Rector for Student Affairs, Professor Mirosław Czechowski.

I am glad to see that so many students have decided to take part in today’s event. It’s also encouraging to see that among those here to represent their companies today there are also GMU graduates, which testifies to the University as a centre of education that produces competent professionals for both the maritime and in-land industries. Today’s event shows are a testament to the many career opportunities available to GMU graduates - said the Deputy Rector for Student Affairs, Professor Mirosław Czechowski.

The Careers Fair aimed to provide GMU students and graduates with a variety of work experience, internship and work opportunities.

Participating in the event were the representatives of 20 companies from industries directly connected with the areas of study taught at Gdynia Maritime University. Particularly popular was the board prepared by the Student Careers Office with offers of work experience, internships and job vacancies. Many students also took advantage of the opportunity to test their competencies and vocational aptitudes and consult their CVs with a professional advisor.

Special thanks go to the companies involved in the Careers Fair:

Kuehne+Nagel, FLEXTRONICS INTERNATIONAL POLAND, AUTOMAZE, NET PC, Propoint, MPL TECHMA, STENA LINE, KONGSBERG, LIGENTIA, CRIST, Boeing Poland, The International Security Agancy in Gdańsk, Mielewczyk, PGZ Stocznia Wojenna, Maritime Border Guard in Kętrzyn, Enstream, V SHIPS, DNV, ENMARO.

We would also like to thank all the students who took part. We look forward to welcoming you to next year’s event.
