Webinar Held on IAMU Global Maritime Professional Scholarship Programme
A webinar organised by the International Association of Maritime Universities and dedicated to the Association’s Global Maritime Professional Scholarship Programme took place on 15 March 2024. The webinar aimed to encourage potential scholarships to participate in the Programme and provide guidance on the preparation of effective proposals.
The meeting was opened by HM The Rector of Gdynia Maritime University Professor Adam Weintrit, the Chair of the IAMU. The Rector was accompanied by the University’s IAMU Contact Person, Associate Professor Dr Adam Przybyłowski.
At the beginning of the meeting, the IAMU Deputy Executive Director, Yusuke Mori, discussed the general criteria for the acceptance of scholarship applications, in particular the content and formal requirements concerning applications from students and applications from doctoral candidates. A discussion was then held to allow participants to ask questions on financial aspects and more related to the scholarship.
At the close of the webinar, IAMU Executive Director Takeshi Nakazawa thanked the many representatives of member universities present for taking part and encouraged their involvement in other IAMU initiatives. More information on the GMP Scholarship Programme can be found on the IAMU website.
