59th European Maritime Pilots Association Conference to Discuss Topics Connected with Improvement of Safety at Sea

From 27 to 30 May 2025, the 59th European Maritime Pilots Association Conference will be held in Kraków. The honorary patron of this year’s event is HM The Rector of Gdynia Maritime University, Professor Adam Weintrit. The aim of the conference, during which Professor Weintrit will also give a talk, is the improvement of safety at sea, including the safety of shipping in European ports.

The programme of the 59th conference of the European Maritime Pilots Association will take place under the slogan:  “Maritime Pilotage: The Key Link in the Maritime Industry”, and will include four discussion panels. The topic of the first session will focus on the challenges associated with AI. As part of the second session, HM The Rector will give a talk entitled “E-navigation vs autonomous navigation – challenge for pilots”. The conference will also touch on issues of safety, security, and education in maritime operations, including innovations in marine technologies.  

The organiser of this year’s conference is the Polish Maritime Pilots Association.
