On 1 April 2025, the Sports and Recreation Centre at Gdynia Maritime University hosted the final of the boys' Regional High School Basketball Championships. The winners of the competition were pupils from the Maria Skłodowska - Curie General Education Secondary School in Sopot, who beat the Marcin Gortata Sports Championship General School from Gdańsk 43 to 37.

The Basketball Championship was organised by the Sports Association School in Gdańsk and Gdynia Maritime University. The University provided prizes for the players and a Rector of the GMU cup for the winning team.
