Marcin Piątkowski is an accomplished IT Service Leader with over 19 years of international experience in managing and delivering high-quality IT services across Global Business Services (GBS) and Shared Service Centers (SSC) in Poland, the USA, Mexico, India, China and Philippines. He specializes in aligning IT service strategies with organizational goals, ensuring customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and driving continuous improvement across global operations.
Renowned for his ability to lead high-performing, multicultural teams, he leverages emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and process automation to enhance service delivery and business outcomes. His strong stakeholder management skills enable him to build and maintain trusted relationships with business partners, vendors, suppliers, and clients worldwide.
Throughout his career, he has successfully led numerous complex transformations, carve-outs and IT projects, navigating through organizational change and delivering measurable results.
Marcin holds a master's degree in Computer Science and Econometrics from the Karol Adamiecki University of Economics in Katowice. He also completed an Executive MBA at the Cracow School of Business and postgraduate studies at the Leon Koźmiński Academy in Warsaw. He is a certified ITIL Expert v3 including Managing Professional v4 level, SIAM Professional, COBIT, Prince2, Agile, and trained in Lean Management, Lean Six Sigma green belt and Kaizen practitioner methodologies.
Over the past few years, Marcin has had the pleasure of sharing his knowledge and experience through a variety of teaching and speaking engagements. As a certified ITIL and Lean Management trainer, He's delivered practical, business-oriented training sessions aimed at improving operational efficiency and service management practices. At the Krakow University of Economics (UEK), he is a lecturer for the Global Business Services (GBS) profile, and he has also contributed to the Clark MBA program on Business of School. Beyond the classroom, He has facilitated numerous leadership and management workshops, participated as a panelist, and served as an expert in webinars focusing on Leadership, IT Service Management, and digital transformation topics.
